The Lantern and Lights Decoration is a must visit Melaka Family Fun and Romantic Place starting from 23 Jan to 22 March 2009! The colouful display of lanterns and lights at Melaka River is another periodical Melaka Event. It is located just behind the Maritime Museum Complex; Flor de la Mar.
A pair of lantern elephants will greet you at the entrance. The magnificent Red Dragon is the centre of attraction for kids and adults alike. Others Melaka Tourist Landmarks will be Menara Taming Sari, Eyes on Malaysia, The Clock Tower, Rumah Melayu and the famous Porta de Santiago!
Though it only covers a small area, this place is worth for a short visit as you can have a moonlight walk by the Melaka River. The colourful lanterns will just spice up the romantic scenery of the Melaka River.
If you happened to dine at Bamboo Hut Bistro or Quayside, a short stroll to Dataran Sungai Melaka will definitely be worth your while and help you to burn those extra calories!
