Are you aware of Melaka parking coupon system? Therefore, don’t expect to find the old coin parking meter anymore. It’s easy to spot the agent that’s selling the parking coupon. Just look for the signage below.
The parking coupons are mainly sold in half an hour and hourly rate. It will cost you RM 0.40 for half an hour while the one hour will cost you RM 0.60.
Normally, the agent will sell the booklet containing coupons costing RM 2.00 for half-an hour and RM3.00 for an hour.
There’s also option to buy the coupon book for RM 3.00 with a mixture of half an hour and hourly ticket.
Can’t enjoy as worrying about the available parking time?
The solution, you can opt to buy a daily parking coupon which will cost you RM 5.00 per piece. However, this option will only be worthwhile if you are planning to park at the public parking lot for more than eight hours. (Any public parking in Melaka town will do!)
How to use the parking coupon?
It’s easy, what you need to do is to scratch the 6 appropriate columns for the year; month, day, hour (Please take note that there are two columns for you to scratch as most people tend to scratch the hour but forget to scratch either am or pm) and the last columns will be the time. You could find the instruction at the back of the parking coupon booklet.
