Photographs of Melaka St. Paul Hill Civic Zone
Have you been to St. Paul Hill Civic Zone in Melaka (Malacca)? There, the European colonial influences could be clearly seen in the architectures and buildings that lay within the zone of this World Heritage Site. As I walk along the administration buildings left by the Dutch, the church and the fort (Porta de Santiago) built by the Portuguese; I simply can’t stop myself from snapping the beautiful and magnificent colonial architecture and scenery surrounding it. Below are some of the photographs that I took while exploring the Melaka St. Paul Hill Civic Zone. As I am not a professional photographer, the angle of the shots and photographs might not be able to justify the beauty of Melaka World Heritage. Nevertheless, I am proud to present you the photographs below:
 | | | Snap of Stadthuys Windows and Roof | The back View of Stadthuys |
 | | | At last, I am reaching the top of St. Paul's Hill. (The Governor Museum) | The tiny gate of once the mighty fortress A Famosa. |
 | | | Snap of Christ Church & St. Francis Xavier's Church from Stadthuys's roof. | More "hidden" passage and steeps behind Stadthuys for you to explore. |
 | | | Snap of Stadthuys steeps made from laterite stone. | View of Melaka City from St. Paul's Hill |
 | | | Granite stone tablet in the St. Paul's Church | More step steeps and nice view from St. Paul's Hill |
I hope that the photographs above will provide you a view of this zone. You might have noticed the step steeps and the hilly slopes of this particular World Heritage Zone. Therefore, a pair of comfortable walking shoes will be more suitable as you explore this area. Unless that is if you are a “professional high heels” queen!
